Please read this before you refer
History shows that LL invitations are rarely accepted without some sort of preview from the referrer beforehand. In advance of referring someone, you should give your referral a heads up on what LL is all about -- how it works, the rules at a general level, the twin pillars of No Cheating and No Forfeiting, and the hellbound fury it delivers upon the mortal soul. This also helps tremendously with onboarding of new players into the league.

Also, let them know that they'll be receiving an Official Invitation via email from LL Commissioner Thorsten A. Integrity (often, understandably, emails from this person are caught by spam filters or assumed to be junk and deleted immediately). Commissioner Integrity will not contact potential players beyond the Official Invitation until they have formally joined, so it's a good idea if your referrer knows this email is coming (preferably by white-listing the learnedleague.com domain, if possible).

REQUIREMENTS FOR REFERRING
In order to refer new players, one must:

1. Be an active LL member in good standing, having completed one full sanction-free LL season.


2. Be registered to play the season into which you are referring players.


3. Have not referred a pavano in the previous season.


If any of these three conditions are not met, the referral cannot be accepted.
